NEW! Bugs, Bugs, Bugs!: Become acquainted with the insects of Costa Rica in this popular night tour. Learn all about the colorful creepy crawlers from the famous "Bug Lady!" Night Tour.The tour begins after dinner at 7:45 PM and takes approximately two hours to finish the tour.
NEW! Dolphin Tour: -- The wild dolphins are never baited or chased -- An experienced guide will take you out into the Pacific near Caņo Island to crystal blue waters. You will have the opportunity to see wild dolphins and enjoy their magnificent natural habitat. Guided tour leaves at 7:45 AM. Minimum of 4 people. Mangrove & Bird Island Tour: Full of legends and rich history, this isolated and unexplored wilderness area will inspire everyone who visits it. Start the tour by entering the Sierpe River into a large mangrove forest and have then explore the forest by boat. You will see ancient mangrove trees and return to the ocean by another river to a large beach and do a nature hike. Later, your guide will take the boat to Bird Island to see nesting and frigate birds. Minimum of 3 people.
Corcovado National Park: Enjoy a day in the rainforest following an adventurous beach landing. The main hike is in the morning. After lunch, there is a hike to a waterfall where you can enjoy an afternoon swim. Bring hiking shoes, swimsuit, sunscreen, hat, water bottle and insect repellent. Guided tours leaves at 6:30 returns at 4:00. A long and short hiking trail will be arranged by your guide. An extra pair of shoes/sandals is recommended. Minimum two people.

Rio Claro:

Take a fifteen minute boat trip to a breathtaking beach and a beautiful lagoon. There is a thirty minute hike to the nearby jungle river. Once at the river, there is the occasion to swim, canoe, and observe jungle birds and wildlife. Bring hiking shoes, swimsuit, sunscreen, hat and water bottle. A beach landing and guided tour available for either half- or full-day. Minimum two people.

Caņo Island: Ancient Indian burial ground, beautiful shaded beaches, hiking to the top of the island and outstanding snorkeling. Bring hiking shoes, swimsuit, sunscreen, hat, and water bottle. Guided tour leaves at 7:30 and returns at 4:00. Minimum 2 people. Click for Caņo Island Pictures  
Kayaking: On our river * a free trip * make your own schedule. River exploring, swimming in cool water and seeing birds, lizards, monkeys, etc.
Hiking Trails: Schedule your own * free trip *. Pick up a map in the office. Enjoy some beautiful views of Drake Bay. Additionally, you can enjoy bird watching and swimming.
Horseback Riding: Explore jungle trails or go horseback riding on the beach and other trails. You will have a peaceful rest while eating lunch at the ranch and butterfly farm. Afterwards, you can continue to the virgin forest and waterfall. Bring: long pants, sunscreen, water and a hat. Guided trip. Please schedule at least one day in advance. Half- or full-day trips available. Minimum two people.

Ranch and Butterfly Farm: See some of the beautiful countryside of the Osa Peninsula. Travel by Jeep or horseback. Enjoy the refreshing air within the virgin forest. Explore the hiking trails, walk the butterfly farm, and observe deer, wild pigs, and enormous trees. Bring hiking shoes and longs pants when horseback riding. Experience the culture of a Costa Rican working farm. Lunch at the Ranch. Minimum two people.
Scuba Diving: All equipment furnished. Thirty-five minute boat ride to Caņo Island. The first dive at the chosen location and then return for lunch. Following lunch is the second dive at the next unique location. All day guided tour with a scuba dive master. Minimum 2 people. Minimum two people.
Off-Shore Fishing: All equipment furnished. Fishing for a large variety of fish with your guide. Fishing near Caņo Island and beyond. Bring sunscreen, water bottle and a hat.

  • Sea Kayaking: Kayaking tour at Violin Island. This trip takes you to a very natural area. Trip to the Island by boat, then the kayaking adventure begins. Kayak around Bird Island and travel along a rocky coast to an isolated beach. Lunch is included. Minimun two people.

    Violin Island: Experience an unexplored wilderness area, beautiful natural beaches, jungle trails and a jungle river. Start with a beach landing where insects and crabs are usually discovered on the beach then hike anywhere along the undomesticated beach. Bring: hiking boots or good walking shoes, sunscreen, hat, water bottle and insect repellent. Minimum two people.
    Evening Boat Ride: Enjoy a pleasant evening on Drake Bay observing the natural phosphorescence in the water. Watch the tiny microorganisms in the water that become luminous as they are stirred up. Snorkeling is also available. Minimum of 4 people.
