Our scuba diving tours explores several spectacular sites around the Caño Island Biological Reserve. Twelve miles west of the Drake Bay Wilderness Resort, Caño Island offers some of the most exciting diving in the world. Besides its amazing marine life, the island is also well known for its archeological history. Caño Island was formerly a cemetery or burial ground dating back to the pre-Columbian era and posses a rich legacy of archaeological resources, including the mysteries perfect Pre-Columbian Stone Balls.
A spectacular variety of marine flora and fauna, as well as gorgeous coral reefs, live beneath the warm waters of Caño Island. Some of the marine life found at the island include turtles, dolphins, stingrays, manta rays, moray eels, barracudas, tuna, snapper, sharks, humpback or pilot whales, and much more.
