is the water temperature?
Answer: Water
temperature at Drake Bay is always warm and the average temperature is 75 degrees
Fahrenheit. The water is great for swimming, snorkeling, or scuba diving.
2) Question: Are
shots for malaria or other diseases required?
Answer:
You don’t need to take shots for malaria or other diseases. Our
three children have lived in Drake Bay for 18 years and have never had problems.
3) Question: What
are the advantages of visiting at different times of the year?
Answer:
We have only two seasons: the rainy season and the dry season. May through
November is rainy (usually sunny in the morning and rainy in the late afternoon).
There are advantages of going in the rainy season as well as the dry season. For
instance, the rainy season is cooler, everything is greener, there are less people,
and it is cheaper. December through April is the dry season and some advantages
of going at this time are the guaranteed sunshine and virtually no rain.
4) Question: Do
I need to bring a hair dryer?
Answer:
We have hair dryers available at the hotel.
5) Question: Do your electric
sockets require special plugs?
Answer:
Our electric sockets work with American style plugs at 110 volts.
6) Question: Where is your
best swimming beach located and how far is the hotel from it?
Answer:
The swimming beach is about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. We also have
a beautiful jungle river at the hotel and our own natural sea water swimming pool.
7) Question: How
long are the tours? At what time do they leave and return to the resort?
Answer:
A typical tour lasts most of the day, but some can be arranged to be
only half a day. Most tours leave at 7:00 a.m. and return at 4:00 p.m.
8) Question: Is
it possible to plan tours in advance and, if so, is it necessary to do so.
Answer:
Our tours are planned for the next day in the evening after dinner.
9) Question: Do I need
tickets or vouchers for the flights?
Answer:
You do not need tickets for the flight from Pavas airport to Drake Bay,
when you check in at Nature Air’s desk just give them your name. We recommend
that you call us before your arrival at Drake Bay.
10) Question: How far is
it to drive from San Jose to Drake Bay or just to Sierpe?
Answer:
You can drive directly to Drake Bay from San Jose in about 8 hours or
drive to Sierpe then take a 1 hour boat ride for the same amount of time. We recommend
that you call us before you drive down.
11) Question:
Is there a secure location to store extra luggage at Pava airport? What is the cost?
Answer:
Luggage can be left at your hotel’s desk or at the Pavas airport
with Nature Air, at no extra charge.
12) Question:
How far is it from San Jose to Pavas?
Answer:
Pavas airport is located near San Jose, about 20 to 30 minutes.

What is the cancellation policy?
Answer: If we
are notified in writing 30 days in advance, 100% refund. If we are notified in writing
15 days in advance, 50% refund. Flights that we book for you to Drake Bay are not
refundable but may be changed depending on the date of notification.

What is the room checkout time?
Answer: The room
checkout time is at 8:00 AM of the day that you are leaving.

while traveling. Also, be sure your passport is up to date before visiting Costa
